Was just thinking how crucial my playlist is for my workout vibe. Does it have as big of an impact for everyone else too? And does anyone have specific songs you like to listen to for certain exercises or lifts?

For me I start with some gospel then a lil r&b the some type of metal then to hiphop
Iām one of those people, possibly the minority, where music makes no difference. I never wear earpods or headphones and am fine with silence, I remember reading some review papers a couple of years ago (J. strength & conditioning research maybe) that looked at different studies around effect of music and from what I recall, like a lot of fitness research, the findings were all over the place.
I find listening to pod casts rather than music is helpful. That may be because of my music background. My brain hones in on the music and begins analyzing the structure and harmonies taking it too far away from the task at hand.
